Raven-Flint is developing a new uranium conversion and enrichment facility to supply HALEU to advanced reactor developers in the U.S. called “Forge”. Forge will implement a fluorination process that removes impurities to make UF6 and utilize gas centrifuge technology to enrich the 235-uranium content up to 20%. Forge will not cover all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle. Conversion and enrichment are the bottleneck in the U.S., today.

“The difference between “machines” and “engines” is obviously this, that machines need more workmen and greater power to make them take effect, as for instance ballistae and the beams of presses. Engines, on the other hand, accomplish their purpose at the intelligent touch of a single workman…”

  -Marcus Vitruvius Pollio

Raven-Flint is not building an enrichment facility, Raven-Flint is an engine for designing and deploying machines.
